I had a shock and almost a panic attack this morning.
My work was in the morning shift today.
As usual, mornings are the most boring since there weren't many customers.
And I was stuck at the counter with Winnie.
I won't open my mouth to reveal the problems with Winnie.
People who I'm close with will know.
Ok, back to the point.
It was 40 mins past 11 when a customer pointed out.
"There's a fire! A fire." While pointing his fingers towards the ceiling outside of our store.
I turned and he was right.
One of the ceiling lights were giving off sparks.
And those sparks are falling down below to other floors.
As I watched a fire appeared.
Burning the strip of layer of material that was the ceiling.
The strip hung down, fire ablaze.
And a part of it fell.
I heard gasps and murmurings from customers who were at 4th floor.
I was seriously worried, man.
I was scared if anybody was below when the burning strip fell.
Luckily, one of the concierge guys quickly grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the fire.
The whole floor was fogged with the smoke.
Even the customer I was handling ran away, saying she will come back again.
But didn't even see a single hair of her again.
Oh well.......whatever.........................
Nevertheless, it was definitely a worrisome incident.
You can't know for sure, if the fire is really only that small.
It might lead to something much bigger and dangerous.
Woooo, I get the shivers just thinking about it.
Since I was standing not that far away from the source of fire.
I'm glad it's over, and everything's fine and dandy.
