Ok.....this post is a little different, not my usual rantings and everything, hence the different font colour. This is what I've had to say.
Have you guys ever met narrow-minded people, as in really narrow-minded?
I've met some, you see.
This is the case. I was in a hospital visiting someone I know, and the room this person is in are filled with the elderly who are quite ill. This is where I met these narrow-minded people. I will not reveal who they are, to prevent any discrimination.
Well, in this particular room, on the very corner bed near the window lies an elderly lady whose age ranged from 85-95.
As one would expect, an elderly of that age would indeed have some problems, such as the loss of teeth and a little senility. This is the common condition, don't you think so?
However, these people are keen on making fun of this elderly. These people are not young at all, it can be understood if the person making fun is still small but they are not. Not young at all.
When I was there, I saw that almost all the other patients have a visitor except for this elderly lady. And this patient was making quite a loud noise, calling the nurses and the people around her. And the people I've mentioned were laughing and making all sorts of comments, comments that are not nice to hear of.
Didn't they think that this lady would be feeling lonely and wanted some attention or something, and that's why she's been making all the noise?
Can't they think both ways instead of one? One of the person even said, "Oh, she dying" and I was totally furious.
I was thinking, 'You're making fun of her right now, and when you're old and going through what she's going through, people will make fun of you then. And then see how you'll feel then will be the same as the feelings that the lady was going through.'
I hate these types of people, who has no common sense, no compassion.
I believe in the saying of 'everything you do, you'll get paid by double'.
There's a limit in making fun of something, try not to overdo it.
And yeah, this is all I've got to say.
